As an undergraduate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I extensively studied photojournalism, producing both standalone photo stories and photos that accompany articles. I have experience both in shooting live events and in studio settings.

Stopping the Beautiful but Invasive Spotted Lanternfly

First spotted in Pennsylvania in 2014, the invasive insect has spread south and is now in North Carolina. This documentary examines the insect’s threat to the state’s agriculture industry, especially its wineries.

I was an associate producer and second camera for this short documentary produced for PBS SciNC. My responsibilities included:

  • shooting B-roll and assisting with video editing.

  • conducting research and scheduling interview shoots.

  • logging interview footage and drafting the story outline.
